Summary:This position is responsible for performing to standard (productivity,quality, safety, attendance etc.) in fulfilling and shipping customerorders within a distribution center environment.Job Description:* Uses a Radio Frequency Device to pull products accurately and efficientlyfrom stock for customer orders as pick slips are printed. Carefully packs andprepares products to be shipped using the most economical and safe method ofpacking available.* Accurately compares products to customer invoices to ensure proper fillingof orders (i.e., product size, strength, dating and unit of sale,quantities) and ensures product ships with accompanying literature,brochures, etc. Also ensures product and product description match the RFdevic* Ensures products ship in accordance with Department of Transportationregulations, which include, but are not limited to, proper labeling,packaging, and logging of all products classified as hazardous materials,including ORMD. Ensures manifest documents are accurate and uses the mosteconomical shipping method available.* Performs or assists in the accurate receiving, put-away, andreplenishment of products, supplies and equipment; rotates stock to ensureorders are filled with products with the earliest expiration dates first.* Performs/assists with daily cycle counts as requested.* Performs routine housekeeping duties, as required, in the warehouse andbreak/lunch areas.* Operates material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet-jack, asrequired, to load and unload commercial carriers or transport stock withinthe warehouse.* Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Follows allestablished safety rules and policies.* Packs and loads vehicles for walk-in customers as needed ensuring customerorders have been accurately completed and payment received as appropriate.* Performs other duties, as assigned.Requirements:* High school diploma or equivalent required.* No work experience required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Prefer 6months' work experience in a warehouse or production environment.* Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners preferred* Ability to work well with others and thrive in a fast-paced team environment* Prior experience with computers in a warehouse environment helpful* Must be flexible to work overtime hours as needed* Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50-70pounds on an occasional basis* Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of theshift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching* May require working in a cooler environment of 35- 46 F* Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards* Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment(order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts)* Certification in forklift operation preferred.Benefits:Covetrus offers a comprehensive total compensation and benefits package thatincludes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with agenerous company match, company paid life insurance and ADandD coverage,educational assistance, and much more!Covetrus is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
