More About This Role:
We are seeking a passionate Linux and Hardware System Administrator to manage and maintain operational 24/7 systems.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Optimize, Maintain, and deploy Linux images across multiple networks and systems
Architect, deploy and manage classified desktop and server hardware
Be proactive in optimizing the configurations of database, storage, and processing hardware.
Support Security personnel in hardening servers and processes.
Perform typical System Administrator role; account creation, reboot, restart, reimage, create, service as applicable and track and close service tickets etc.
Perform all facets of systems administration of a network supporting a variety of services on Linux.
Handle server, desktop and related property management responsibilities in conjunction with the customer and company property teams
Handle management and inventory of computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, etc.)
Provide support to the Resonator engineering and development team.
Willing to support multitasking abilities.
Candidate must be highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter with ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Responsible for T3 support and DR management to multiple mission critical operational systems
Support documentation tasks, working with Systems Engineering to ensure documentation quality and completeness.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Typically requires a: Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, a Associate Degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly is required to start
Must have Security+ Certification (or be able to obtain Security+ Certification within 45 days of starting)
Experience providing physical and virtual support, maintenance, and security for Red Hat (RHEL 6 and 7)
Experience with Authentication and Account Management (Active directory, DNS, LDAP, IPA)
Experience with RedHat virtualization
Experience with revision management tools (GIT)
Networking experience with Cisco switches and firewalls, load balancers
Hardware experience with: servers, workstations, peripherals
Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
Monitor and track trouble tickets and change requests to ensure high quality customer service
Strong command skills and bash scripting, including kick starts & startup scripts, regular expressions
Strong troubleshooting and interpersonal skills, possess a positive, helpful, and professional demeanor
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with NFS, Lustre, Nagios, Puppet, and Spacewalk.
Experience with NETAPP SAN storage
Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
Working Experience with NRO IT systems as System Administrator
Red Hat Certification
Understanding of X-Midas
