You're a great contributor to a high performing team thataccomplishes great feats for our clients.What You Will Do:Position will interface with Database Administrators(DBAs)/Developers, Application Administrators, Security,Architecture, and end-user community.Must possess college-level communications skills, being able to communicateclearly, both orally and with written communications.Provides systems administration and engineering expertise to supportenterprise architect coordination among technical staff, management, andstakeholders for a government program supporting multiple COTS applications onSolaris, Linux, and Windows platforms.Develops technical solutions that support multiple applications,platforms, and technologies to satisfy existing operational requirements andfuture migration to cloud infrastructure.Advises enterprise architect on technological purchases and operationalstandards for compute, network, and data resources as well as developmentlifecycle processes to satisfy existing operational requirements and futuremigration to cloud infrastructure.Supports architecture teams by conducting detailed analyses, preparing plansand procedures, contributing to a program cloud migration strategy, andperforming prerequisite steps to prepare applications and databases for amigration to a cloud infrastructure.Supports architecture teams by analyzing existing Key Performance Indicators(KPI) and performance metrics and establishing cloud-centered equivalents.Works with existing staff to analyze existing applications and databases forcloud compatibilities; identify solutions for discovered clouddeficiencies; capture and document cloud capacity requirements; andidentify opportunities for application refactoring.Works with existing staff to analyze and to make recommendations to positiondocumented program software engineering and Software Development Life Cycleprocesses, procedures, and tools for suitability in cloud environment.Supports architecture teams by applying cloud-specific expertise toCybersecurity compliance efforts such as Security Technical ImplementationGuide (STIG) reviews, Risk Management Framework (RMF) governance,and shared responsibility models.Supports architecture teams by applying cloud-specific expertise toanalyzing, planning, and integrating cloud service provider infrastructureservices such as DNS, SMTP, directory services, and IP address spaceassignmentRequired Skills:A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field(e.g., computer science, engineering, and information systems). TheApplicant may substitute 15 years of experience for a bachelor's degree.Candidates MUST be a US Citizen and be willing to obtain an ADP I or ADP IIclearance.Candidates MUST have or be able to obtain a Security+ certification within 6months of hire.A minimum of 10 years of experience to include enterprise systemsadministration or systems engineering of COTS products from multiple vendorsin a primarily UNIX-based environment.A minimum of 7 years of experience to include migrating Apache web, OracleJEE application servers and Oracle database servers to cloud infrastructure.Experience with Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux required.Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or newer operating systemspreferred.Experience with cloud service provider authentication and authorization
