Arapahoe County Temporary Recruiting Supervisor in Aurora, Colorado

Description The Recruiting Supervisor is responsible for providing daily direction to recruiting staff and overseeing recruiting activities at two Arapahoe County locations (Littleton and Aurora). This position collaborates with Department and Office Leadership in developing recruiting and sourcing strategies, streamlining hiring processes for efficiencies, and identifying and leading long-term outreach opportunities. This position is expected to work 29 - 40 hours a week . Reporting to each office ( Littleton / Aurora) 2 days a week, possibly working remote 1 day a week. . This temporary position is expected to last through out 2021. Duties * Oversees daily recruitment activities and provides direction and coaching to recruiting staff, facilities strategic recruitment efforts designed to acquire and retain key talent. * Serves as liaison and internal consultant in support of organizational strategies. * Leads process improvement efforts in order to streamline or improve HR tasks, systems and processes, collects/tracks data for metrics analysis, and trains on new processes as appropriate. * Researches and makes recommendations for short-term and long-term retention processes, systems, and solutions. * Actively conducts sourcing outreach activities and builds and maintains network of relationships and resources in the external market in order to maintain competitiveness. * Provides technical and analytical expertise, summarizes findings, interprets and communicates results of analyses and makes recommendations. * Ensures that HR processes, practices, and compensation comply with current legislation and applicable local, state, and federal laws. Updates and formulates polices and/or procedures as necessary. Applies all applicable policies, regulations, and laws consistently. * Develops and updates job descriptions on an as-needed basis ensuring accuracy and legal content. * Oversees and manages the Years of Service Awards and Ceremony * Serves as NEO GOV subject matter expert and provides training as necessary Skills, Abilities and Competencies: * Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and operating requirements of human resources management; employment, compensation, employee benefits, budgeting; and planning. * Familiarity with base compensation practices, benefits, and ATS Systems (Neo gov preferred ) * Advanced Staffing expertise, with proven ability to build and maintain successful outreach relationships * Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include strong presentation skills with the ability to adapt to varying audiences. * Comprehensive knowledge of performance measures/business impact analysis. * Ability to administer human resources policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. * Strong computer skills; must be proficient in M/S Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. ** Behavioral Competencies (these are required for all positions at ACG): Accountability Accessibility Inclusivity Integrity Requirements *_Education and Experience:_ * 5+ years of recruiting experience, with emphasis on outreach and building retention strategies * 2+ years of supervisory/management experience * Education does not substitute for experience _Preferred Education and Experience:_ * Recruiting experience within public sector environment Supplemental Information _Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:_ * Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check. * Possession of a valid Class “R” Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within two weeks of appointment. * Security clearance required: will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check _WORK ENVIRONMENT_: * Work is generally confined to a standard office environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Spends 90% of the time sitting and 10% of the time either standing or walking. * Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 20 lbs. * Occasionally uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 20 lbs. * Occasionally climbs, stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and crouches while performing office or work duties. * Verbal and auditory capacity enabling constant interpersonal communication through automated devices, such as telephones, radios, and similar; and in public meetings and personal interactions. * Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment. * Visual capacity enabling constant use of computer or other work-related equipment.
