Job Summary:Overall management of project portfolio and direct reports. Responsible forprojects and cross-functional interdepartmentally. Supervise daily aspectswithin the project. Design multiple components of a project. Ensureintegration of all project components. Broad technical competence andresponsibility. Act as advisor. Define activities and manage meetingdeliverables internally and externally.Leads product development and/or QC efforts in the formulations,analytical, and/or microbiology areas. Conceptualizes and proposesdevelopment and testing strategies based on biopharmaceutic data.Responsible for project team leader duties of a development program thatinclude: Direction and administrative duties including the coordination ofefforts of team members and across departments; acting as spokesperson ondevelopment programs and interact positively and productively with clients;advising management on program status.Responsible for producing high quality documentation, client reports, etc.suitable for publication and regulatory requirements.Maintain broad knowledge of state of the art principles and theory; providestechnical leadership in the group, serves as in-house advisor on keyscientific discipline areas.Provide technical support clinical manufacturing and product testing.Responsible for developing/maintaining a current understanding of cGMP andother regulatory requirements.Identify potential inventions arising from work and develop patentapplications.Responsible for the management and professional development of lower levelscientists and associates; orient new employees as to the organization anddepartment policies, and what results are expected of them. Review theirposition responsibilities with them. Communicate and administer proceduresfor the area in accordance with approved policies.Periodically analyze the workload and the staffing needs of the department;recommend increases or decrease to staff; prepare position documentation fornew and/or modified positions; identify and define qualifications requiredfor new and modified positions; interview candidates for opening and makehiring recommendations.Experience:Ph.D. and 5+ years directly related experience of B.S. and a minimum of 12years related experience, or M.S. and 10 years related experience.KBI Biopharma, Inc. is an EEO/AA employer and actively seeks to diversifyits work force.
