Schneider Electric Sustainability, RenewableEnergy, Cleantech and Smartgrid Services, part of Schneider's Energy andSustainability Services (ESS), provides support and leadership to someof the world's best known CandI organizations on diversifying theirportfolios to include renewable energy and emerging energy technologies.Position Summary:The Client Development Manager will focus on bringing in new commercial andindustrial clients to the Cleantech division, with a particular emphasis onhelping clients strategically procure renewable energy. This effort willinvolve identifying, pursuing, qualifying, and closing potential clientsheadquartered throughout North America with a national and possible globalpresence. It requires the ability to sell complex and high-value services atthe highest level of the world's largest corporations. It is preferred thatqualified candidates would be based and work from our Cleantech office locatedin Boulder, CO. Candidates may be considered located in other Schneider ESSoffices such as Louisville, KY, or work from a virtual home office anywhere.What do you get to do in this position?Identify and develop strategic advisory opportunities with new and existingSchneider clientsParticipate in a dynamic, competitive and growing global Cleantech marketHunt for new business development opportunities, with a proven ability togenerate and follow up on leads by making contact with prospects and creatinginterest in Schneider's Cleantech offeringsDevelop and leverage deep subject-matter expertise, particularly instrategic renewable energy contract structures, to craft a solution to meeta unique client lead, as a trusted advisorCommunicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels toidentify needs and requirements as well as market opportunitiesLead and move prospects through the sales cycleNegotiate and close sales that vary in contract length and fee rangeClose an agreed upon number of sales and revenue per yearMaintain prospect (CRM) database informationOther responsibilities as assignedEssential skills and qualifications:Minimum of 5-years' experience in the renewable energy industry, withextensive experience selling to industrial and/or commercial clients;experience and knowledge from working within the energy industry is a mustwith the renewable energy industry strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experienceProven track record of being successful in all elements of a consultativesales role, or relevant experience as a corporate renewable energy buyerwith sales experienceLead generation experience, and excellent opportunity identification andqualification skillsPersistence in follow up of leads and movement of prospects through the salescycle, with meticulous attention to detail.Interfacing and presenting to and selling to all management levels at Fortune500 companies, up to the C-SuiteNegotiating contractual agreements with prospectsPrior experience working with complex and lengthy sales cyclesStrong closing ability and track record, with experience closing$100,000 dealsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent sales methodology and organizational skillsProficienc
