Rocky Mountain Institute Development Coordinator - Foundations in Boulder, Colorado

RMI is seeking an experiencedProgram Coordinatorwith exceptionalorganizational, project management,writing,and communication skills.This position will support frontline fundraisers each managing multi-milliondollarportfoliosfrom foundations and institutional funders.The ProgramCoordinator will drive several critical processes on behalf of our fundraisingteamincluding:project managing successful proposals, coordinating reportsand ongoing stewardship materials, assisting with donor data andmanagement, and maintaining momentum on ongoing activities and externalrelationships. This person will also coordinate with programmatic andoperational staff across RMI while building effective relationships with keyinternal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of fundraisers, manage proposals developmentprocesses, including:Coordinating among RMI teams including program staff and finance,Setting realistic timelines and ensuring deadlines are met,Managing workflows and securing approvals for materials includingproposal narratives and budgets,Submitting proposals and stewardship materials using funders' manydifferent online systemsProcessing grant agreements and contractsEnsuring high attention-to-detail of the complete proposal packageCommunicate with counterparts atfoundationsTrack upcoming donor reports, coordinate with program teams to developnarrative reports, coordinate with finance team on financial reports,and work with fundraisers to design and execute comprehensive stewardshipplans.Support fundraisers in key meetings with donors andexternalstakeholders, andmanage follow up.Work with fundraisers to develop and implement comprehensive corporateengagement plans, coordinating with teams across RMI.Assist with donor research, helping fundraisers identify foundationfunding opportunities that align with RMI's global portfolio.Maintain high-quality and up-to-date data in Salesforce andSharepointLiaison between the program team and RMI's operational departmentsAdditional responsibilities, asrequired.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or anequivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible administrative,operations, project management or related experienceExperience at nonprofitorganizationsExperience in fundraising and/or proposal developmentProficient in Microsoft Office software skillsProven organization skills and flexibility when it comes tobalancingprioritiesAttention to detail and exceptionalaccuracyAdditional Qualifications:Experience working with senior staff in variousorganizationsExperience with SalesforceInterest in philanthropy, climate, and energyProactive attitude and the ability to anticipateneedExcellent and intuitive writing and editingskillsStrong team and interpersonal skills and the ability to workindependentlyAbility to manage stakeholderrelationshipsStrong verbal and written communications skillsDemonstrable problem-solving skillsAbility to effectivelymultitaskGood judgment and strong decision-making abilityPreferred Qualifications:Proficient inMicrosoft,SharePoint,and SalesforceLocationThis position will remain remote through the COVID-19 pandemic. Once theCOVID-19 situation improves, it is expected that this role be located at oneof our U.S. office locations, with a strong preference for Colorado(Basalt or Boulder).CompensationThe salary range for this position is $60,500 - $81,500, with thetarget being about $60,500- $71,500. This is dependent on experiencethat will be discussed and vetted throughout the interview process.
