POSITION PURPOSE:

The Door Screener position exists to protect the community by screening all employees and visitors for signs and symptoms of COVID 19. The door screener is responsible for following established protocols to screen all Golden West Employees and to screen and verify that visitors are providing essential care for a resident prior to entering the building or are an essential vendor.:

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a courteous and friendly demeanor
  2. Follow established protocols to limit entrance to building to Golden West employees, essential vendors and essential care providers a. Screen employees for symptoms and fever prior to entering building i. Question employees about symptoms and possible exposure to COVID 19 ii. Observe employees for obvious signs of illness iii. Direct employees to use temperature kiosk to confirm normal temperature iv. Accurately record required information on Employee Screening Log v. Provide employees with new medical face mask b. Screen all vendors and essential care providers prior to entering building, according to Golden West established procedure i. Ensure that the reason for the visit is in accordance with protocols. ii. Question visitor about symptoms and possible exposure iii. Observe for obvious signs of illness iv. Direct visitors to use temperature kiosk to confirm normal temperature v. Accurately record required information on Visitor Screening Log vi. Ensure visitor has face covering and is wearing appropriately
  3. Contact Reception if unsure if someone should be admitted, prior to allowing entrance to building
  4. Manage Package Deliveries a. Ensure package has name and/or apartment number before delivery person leaves b. Log all packages c. Notify residents that package has been received d. Log when package is picked up by resident e. Move all packages to reception office at the end of day:

Qualified Candidates must have:

Excellent Customer Services Skills Good judgement in difficult situations and in knowing when to ask for assistance Comfortable asking questions regarding the purpose of visit and denying entry if not providing essential care Comfortable with fluctuating work load (periods of busyness and periods of quiet):

Physical requirements:

Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to sit for an hour at a time Ability to stand for 15 minutes at a time Able to lift and stack packages weighing up to 25 lbs. Able to read and write English Legibly hand write names and other information on logs:
