Boulder Community Hospital Pharmacy Tech in Boulder, Colorado

Fulltime - 36 hours a week - Variable Shifts

Pharmacy Tech - (Certified 2+ years of experience) Pay range of up to $20.40/hr. base on years of experience.

Pharmacy Tech - (Certified less then 2 years of experience) Pay range of up to $18.25/hr., based on years of experience.

Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays, Day and Evening shifts

Starting rate of $14.60 per hour, additional consideration based on years of experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

Fills and maintains the automated dispensing system, fills drug orders, does cart fill, fills IVs, assists Pharmacist as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education or Formal Training

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)

Provisional Pharmacy Technician state certification required

Eligible for non-provisionar Pharmacy Technician state license required within 18 months of hire

Experience

Minimum 2 years hospital/retail technician experience preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

  • Will be required to stand for long periods of time

  • May be exposed to hazardous and toxic substances

  • May be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and graveyard

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answers telephone and window.

  • Fills medication orders.

  • Understands automated dispensing system.

  • Is able to work with automated reports.

  • Is able to work all functions of automated dispensing system.

  • Is able to load medications into the system.

  • Is able to take care of narcotic dispensing in the system.

  • Runs reports on system as needed.

  • Prepares IVs using aseptic technique.
