What is your great idea?Job SummaryAa Senior Pursuit Business Dev Manager in the Federal Space, this role willsupport the entire DoD Region with particular focus on:Army overall - mission, strategy, and solutions focusSOCOM, CENTCOM, and SOUTHCOM- Must have experience and a deep understanding of the complexities ofprogrammatic business and the pathways in the DoD market.- Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain a network of the rightrelationships with key Federal Systems Integrators, Service Providerstargeted DoD customers.- Coordinates and advises the "pursuit" team (e.g., technical,financial, legal) and assembles/manages virtual extended engagementteams (e.g., sales, engineering, consulting, channel) towardsprogram capture w- Creates unique and compelling value propositions so customer and partners(i.e. systems integrator and Service Providers) decision-makers clearlygrasp the short and long-term business and financial value of a NetApprelation- Builds trusted advisor relationships with senior executives by proactivelyidentifying client business objectives, priorities, capabilities, andcritical success factorsJob Requirements- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation,customer, business and negotiation skills.- Ability to travel within assigned region, working closely with DistrictManagers, Sales Representatives, and channel partners. Occasional traveloutside of region required.- A strong understanding of the sales process.- High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidlygrowing organization.- A thorough understanding of go-to-market strategies including accountsegmentation, products, marketing strategies, etc.- Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributedenvironment.- TS clearance preferredKey/preferred credentialsFormer DoD OfficerTechnology backgroundHas spent time in IndustryIdeally a part of the G6 and/or J6 at some point while in uniformCredentials and confidence to brief our senior customer setsDesire and willingness to travel as needed - once business travel becomesclearedEducation- 8to 10years of experience is preferred.- Strong Federal experience as it relates to developing programs to capturenew business.- Proven experience working with large System Integrators and Cloud ServiceProviders.- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, ElectricalEngineering; or related field is - required; a Graduate Degree is preferred.- Sufficient experience to demonstrate an appropriate level of expertiserequired to sell NetApp products and services.This is not a CTO role.Why NetApp?In a world full of generalists, NetApp is a specialist.
