This role is an opportunity tomatch the creativity and disruptiveness of SomaLogic's technology with anequally creative and disruptive marketing organization in order to fullyrealize the value of SomaLogic's offerings.SomaLogic maintains two primary market verticals: Life Sciences Research andHealthcare (providers/payors). In the Research vertical, we deliverproteomic research solutions to the pharma and academic markets, withpotential expansions into other markets such as animal or nutrition. In theHealthcare market, we are targeting large health systems with a small groupof concierge practice pilot sites for our proteomic diagnostics. Candidatesshould be well versed in at least one, and ideally both of SomaLogic'smajor market verticals, with a proven track record of measurable marketing succKey Job Responsibilities:Working with the commercial leaders and executive team, help decide and leadthe overall marketing strategy of the company in both market segments.Build a world-class marketing function, nearly from the ground up. Create ahiring plan that aligns with organizational needs, balancing the ideas ofgrowing internal talent, and hiring expertise that currently does not existinside SomaLogic; prepare and manage marketing department budgets to supportthe achievement of sales and profitability targets. Manage the team throughclearly established metrics and goals.Create, implement and refine on an ongoing basis a comprehensive approach toMarketing, including strategy and tactics, upstream and downstream efforts.Ultimately responsible for digital strategy and tactics, creating aworld-class presence for SomaLogic in the online space of research,discovery, health and wellness. This includes overall ownership of thewebsite, all social media, the online community, and allcustomer-related digital elements.Establish and maintain corporate branding standards.Devise and implement a tactical marketing plan to achieve strategic marketingobjectives.Guide product management to define new products and services, using athorough understanding of market dynamics and customer needs; expand productand service portfolio in support of corporate growth and profitabilitygoals; develop, launch, promote and support new products. Guideindividual product elements such as report graphics, content, and look and feelAssume primary responsibility for market research and insightidentification; develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients'objectives, workflow, constraints and bottlenecks; develop targetcustomer personas; translate market insight into growth strategy andtactics. Identify customer personas and clear, tailored value propositions.Use data and market research to achieve these goals.EducationA bachelor's degree in either a science or marketing related field isrequired; an advanced degree in business or science is highly preferred.Skills and experience10 years' experience in the direct-to-pharma, diagnostics, healthsystems, or similar science or clinical-based industries, with at least 8years in marketing rolesExperience in a leadership role managing, developing and building teamsProven ability to market using digital tools and channelsProven ability to work effectively with people from any level or area in acompany, must be strong working on and leading cross-functional teamsProven ability to assimilate complex technologies and to engage effectivelywith science and technical teams in pursuit of optimal business solutionsMust be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to bring order where chaosmight be foundStrong and effective verbal and written communicator, with confident anddynamic personality and ability to communicate at t
