Summary of job:

This role partners with the Chief Financial Officer and senior Finance leadership team to develop, implement and manage the strategic priorities for the Finance organization. The Director – Program Management reports directly to the CFO and manages the Finance team’s primary projects that focus on process transformation, scalable growth, continuous improvement and organizational and team effectiveness. The Director - Program Management also leads enterprise-wide, cross-functional, strategic initiatives that drive business value and growth, including new acquisition integrations, operational improvements, global process reengineering, and technology enhancements. This role is designed for a high potential person who can use this high profile, transformative developmental opportunity as a platform to transition to additional leadership positions within Vail Resorts Finance and across the organization.

Essential job responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior Finance leadership to develop long-term roadmap for top priorities to achieve process optimization and efficiency by owning the full program from start to finish.

  • Direct and manage large-scale, complex programs and projects involving internal and external constituents and matrixed partners.

  • Drive accountability and coordination across the Finance organization on strategic initiatives to ensure compliance with project milestones and timelines.

  • Own governance process for Finance projects using a rigorous, repeatable and data-driven approach.

  • Lead with a commercial and results-oriented approach, using a solid foundation in process, with a clear understanding of and ability to build business cases.

  • Effectively multi-task with ability to lead and manage multiple programs and projects and manage and organize competing priorities.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders by understanding key objectives and balance collaboration and accountability to achieve solutions for prioritized projects.

  • Orient to creating comprehensive solutions, including considerations for change management, technology, process and organizational design.

  • Actively drive and develop the culture of the Finance team as a member of the senior Finance leadership team.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant major; Graduate degree preferred; Project Management Certification preferred.

  • 10+ years of relevant business experience.

  • Demonstrated track record of leading initiatives sponsored at the executive level.

  • Experience with analyzing information and data to make decisions.

  • A self-starter and self-motivated efforts without the need for daily direction.

  • Ability to continuously adapt to changes and effectively navigate through ambiguity; decide and act without having the picture totally defined; appropriately change one’s strategy in response to new information.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to maintain alignment without significant oversight.
