Assigned case load will consistprimarily of offenders with moderate to high mental health treatment needs.Develop Mental Health treatment plans to serve as the basis for treatment.Provide individual and group therapy. Perform routine mental healthassessments and interviews to determine progress. Update diagnosis andpsychiatric needs levels. Refer offenders to psychology for more complexpsychological assessment. Provide information to psychiatry to include clienthistory, previous diagnoses, and alternative treatment available.Participation in 24 hour On Call System. Assures both emergency andnon-emergency transfer for offenders experiencing acute mental health crisis.Renders clinical direction to non-clinical staff in mental health care andtreatment of inmates. Assures continuity of care for offenders by makingappropriate referral and providing necessary information and documentation fortransition to receiving units, facilities, or agencies. Current MentalHealth Clinician vacancies: Canon City, Denver, Pueblo Trinidad and Sterling.Sex Offender Treatment Provider: This position provides intensive sexoffender treatment within the CDOC's Sex Offender Treatment and MonitoringProgram (SOTMP) including development, implementation and modificationof individual treatment plans. SOTMP complies with the Colorado Sex OffenderManagement Board (SOMB) standards and guidelines. Clinicians providingsex offender treatment are required to apply with the SOMB within 30 days ofhire. Conduct and prepare psycho-sexual evaluation for use by communitycorrections, Parole Board and treatment providers in the community. Prepareparole board assessment to assist the parole board in making releasedecisions. Participate in support education meetings on a periodic basis.
