The Senior System Administrator worksclosely with County departments and our development and infrastructure teamssupporting our on-premise as well as cloud infrastructure initiatives with afocus on SharePoint, Document Management, and Teams. If you are a team player, a detailoriented self-starters with a strong background in system analysis anddesign, come join us to make a difference in the community and to theindividuals who live and work here!DEFINITION OF WORK: The Senior Systems Administrator provides technicalstrategy, direction, and support for the organization's SharePoint andother Office 365 technologies including assessment, configuration, andimplementation. Responsible for maintenance of new and existing sites and newcapabilities.The Senior Systems Administrator contributes to the advancement theCollaboration Services team and other SharePoint Administrators, mentoringthose new to the discipline.Architects, creates and delivers business solutions in partnership with theCollaboration Services team, Office and Department and business partners,and other IT teams. Mentors and supports Department and Office power users toown and grow those solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Key duties and responsibilities ofthe position include, but are not limited to, the items listed below:Establish strategic direction for SharePoint architecture and configuration incollaboration with the Collaboration Services team and system administrators.Recommend and create policy for SharePoint governance and administration.Develop, configure and support SharePoint environments including Office365, on premise and Hybrid environments.Develop, configure and support SharePoint sites for County intranets, teamsites, and other collaboration work spaces.Troubleshoot functional and technical incidents occurring within SharePointOnline. Provides Tier 3 support to diagnose SharePoint related issues andperform root cause analysis.Interface with third party vendors and acts as primary point of contact forSharePoint platform; communicates functional and technical applicationrequirements.At the enterprise level, coordinate and maintain web applications;coordinate with external entities as needed. Manage end-user accounts,permission and access rights in accordance with policies and best-practiceswhile maintaining privacy and security standards.Design and configure custom SharePoint applications and web parts. workflowincluding custom activities, custom forms, and other custom functionality.Mentor and develop SharePoint expertise within the user community.Ensures compliance with County policies and standards for architecture,process, security and quality assurance.Perform other duties related to SharePoint administration, development,and production support as needed.Take personal initiative to identify, analyze, resolve and deliversolutions for problems and opportunities concerning Office 365 and SharePoint.Mentor other SharePoint Administrators, Developers, and users in IT.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisoryresponsibilities. The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible formentoring Collaboration Service peers and key users in the SharePointcommunity. The position reports directly to the IT Sr. Manager,Collaboration Services.CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR: Work involves configuration and support of highpriority and mission critical sites.
