Comcast Analyst 3, Business Information Systems in Centennial, Colorado

Summary:

Responsible for formulating and defining systems and objectives based on a good understanding of applicable business systems. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Responsible for working in ISS tools, billing systems, and interfacing tools. Troubleshooting and issue resolution within the ISS GTM team. Responsible for creating and modifying queries; validating data to ensure accuracy and quality; testing new products, offer constructs, and system enhancements; participate in cross-departmental meetings; identifying gaps and processes improvement opportunities, quality control and new technology; identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency; and assisting in the standardization of policies and procedures. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation, as necessary.

  • Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

  • Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

  • Identifies and assesses probable interactions of related computer systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system.

  • May review proposals, including gathering facts, analyzing data, and preparing project overview which compares alternatives in terms time, availability, and requirements, etc. Recommends course of action.

  • Functions as a liaison between the client, community, and internal information technology and/or external software vendors to develop system solutions to processing systems or business problems.

  • Interacts closely with a matrixed cross-functional team, both field and corporate, in order to secure alignment and solution excellence.

  • Ensures data quality and integrity across data-specific application implementations.

  • Supports the testing team and business users in validating that the programs meet the requirements.

  • Owns direction of the project(s) with limited guidance.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Primary Skills:

  • Strong collaboration ability to facilitate offer eligibility and business rule builds and updates.

  • Analytical skills to test system enhancements to GTM tools.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Ability to provide feedback to peers on known issues or training needs.

  • Possess a working knowledge of CSG locks and rules functionality.

  • Use of multiple ticketing systems for work assignment and notification.

  • Provide support to ACSR/Digital UI end users.

  • Troubleshoot problems and identify solutions related to business requirements and offer eligibility.

  • Perform complex change requests within the required defined timeframe with no unplanned customer or revenue impacts.

  • Support large-scale projects

  • Adhere to established policies, guidelines and standards as provided from internal and external teams

  • Other duties as assigned

Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

Field of Study:

  • Information Sciences, Technology, Computer Science Certifications

Years of Experience:

  • Generally, requires 5-8 years related experience

  • Prior Comcast experience desired

  • Understanding of SVPs, CERs, EAI, CTD 4C, CTD 4I, CTD RP, ROR/RER strongly desired

  • Prior use of ATLAS and Change Management (CM) ticketing systems

  • Read and write SQL queries (Oracle and/or MS SQL Server)

  • Understanding of MS SQL Server stored procedures is a plus

  • Tool Knowledge: SQL, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Able to provide on-call support

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
