Allegiance Consulting has an opportunity for a DevOps Architect,contract-to-hire with our client in Denver, CO.The DevOps Architect will be an automation advocate responsible for providingleadership, guidance, and direction for pipeline automation to productowners, designers, and software engineers with cybersecurity anddevelopment responsibilities within the engineering team. The ideal candidateshould possess a combination of strong technical knowledge of the modern techstack, possess a solid proven software development background, experiencein secure coding principles and be familiar with Lean Startup, Agile andDevOps methodologies.Must be authorized to work for any employer - No third partiesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a relatedtechnical discipline8+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, releaseengineering, and/or software configuration managementUnderstanding of Software Security Architecture and Design, SDLC and theability to clearly articulate best practices for software and applicationsecurityExperience with public cloud environments and technologies, including AmazonWeb Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience in DevOps environments and automating security controls into theCI/CD processExperience working with a multiple CICD pipeline and continuously improvingthe release process for many products with competing timelinesDevelopment experience in Python, Ruby, AWK or ShellMUST be highly collaborative with cross-function teamsServer management experience in infrastructure management and issueresolution, in a large-scale production environmentWorking knowledge of software configuration management systems and/or sourcecode version control systems and experience automating build and releaseprocesses, build management, dependency management and continuousintegration/deployment toolsExperience with Agile development and methodologies and experience with Linuxand UNIX; Understanding of service-oriented attitude with excellent problemsolving and analytical skillsPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of large-scale distributed systems, centralized multi-tierarchitectures and decentralized (client/server) environment models,including, security, and monitoringExperience provisioning and managing operations within AWSExperience with container deployment and development lifecyclesExpertise in building scalable, high performance teams that support entirepre-production lifecycleExtensive experience using virtualization technologies to enhance velocity ofpre-production lifecycle environmentExperience in engineering custom solutions to operational problems whereneededCreated and/or managed a security program and have conducted or led theresponse to security audits, attestations or adherence to compliance standardsExperience in configuration management tools, monitoring, deploymentautomation, and orchestration tools ({Puppet, Ansible, Splunk/Kibana etc.)Proved track record of data and infrastructure stewardship mindsetBuild strong relationships with product teams and cultivate a culture ofproduct security awareness and ownership, including the implementation andutilization of secure coding principlesStay current with SDLC enabling technologies, emerging threat landscape andpredict impact of changing technologiesAllegiance Consulting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
