Our commitment to honoring the gift of tissue donation motivatesus to develop innovative allografts and lead the way in cellular and tissuetheSummary:This position is responsible for fabrication and welding in our machine shop.Responsibilities include assisting with sharpening gouges and supporting ourmanufacturing department in maintaining production equipment. Operatingappropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with agreat deal of precision. Performing welding and fabrication of a variety ofmaterials and projects working from blueprints. You will also support thedevelopment of new equipment and tools.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Partner with engineers, technicians and operators on the developmentof new and existing equipment/tooling and provide guidance on best materialsand best manufacturing practices. Repair existing equipment utilizing appropriate materials withconsideration for manufacturability. Participate in special projects and support Operations activity on an asneeded basis. Use critical thinking to make repairs to damaged or compromised equipment Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirement. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. Conduct test and inspect welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality,tolerance and structure to discover flaws. Install and repair various pieces of equipment and components. Follow blueprints/drawings to meet product specifications. Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which areconsistent with current operating procedures, training requirements,safety practices and company policies. May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent 1 year of experience with various machine shop equipment such asmills, lathes, grinders and welders (TIG, MIG and spot) 1-year experience as a welder Must be able to read and understand basic blueprints and shop drawings Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Experience: Welder CertificationsPhysical Requirements: Lift up to 45 lbs (10lbs continuously), bend, stand, twist,push, pull, manual dexterity, visual acuity, repetitive motion ofwrist and sho Will be exposed to florescent lighting, dust, fumes, chemicals,biohazardous materials, Aseptic environment, working in confined spaces,wearing personal protective equipment, and sharp tools/instruments.Pay: $16.45 - $20.84Shift: DaysBenefits: 20 days PTO, 9 paid Holidays, Retirement Plan, onsiteHealth Care clinic, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, ADandD, Shortand Long Term Disability, Bonus Program and more!For consideration you must apply online, submit a current resume and meetthe minimum requirements.
