Job Description:

Performance Food Group's Shared Financial services located south of the DTC has a new opportunity for a Senior Accounting Manager.

Major responsibilities include the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes for assigned business segments (including distribution centers and corporate functions) in a Shared Services environment supporting multiple US locations. Also directs centralized accounting functions, including but not limited to, internal financial reporting, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets accounting, payroll-related accounting, intercompany accounting, accounts payable support, and special projects. Internal contacts with associates at all levels in the organization. External contacts may include vendors, auditors and banks. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the review of potential acquisitions, due diligence, contracts, etc.

  • Implement PFG's accounting controls, compliance and processes at the newly acquired entities.

  • Resolve acquisition issues to enable and ensure successful consolidation of acquisition results into PFG financials.

  • Responsible to drive the successful integration of new acquisitions into the PFG accounting organization.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA; 10+ years managerial experience in Accounting. Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to successfully interact across all levels of the organization, including multiple geographic locations; Establishes and maintains effective working relationships; Demonstrated ability to delegate and positively lead teams through change; Working knowledge and analytical skills to make independent judgments in relation to complex accounting processes and the business; Ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures. Expertise or significant exposure to a major ERP application; Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a high-volume, changing environment; Must be able to work under tight timelines and meet deadlines
