Pipe Line Specialties Accounts Payable Specialist in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado

DESCRIPTIONSummaryMakes routine choices within established procedures. Performs basictroubleshooting to reconcile account balances and inquiry to obtain missinginformation or verify unusual data. An intermediate level of computer skill isrequired, usually involving the use of an accounting software package andspreadsheets to enter, compile, or extract data. Work is relativelyindependent, with supervision available to address non-routine questions.Typically requires a general understanding of accounting principlescommensurate with 3+ years of accounting training or experience.Essential FunctionsCreate purchase orders and enter associated invoices in the Accounting system(Sage 100)Reconcile vendor statementsEnter credit card receipts and reconcile credit card statementsReconcile Job Cost reportsHandle light phonesSchedule job inspectionsMaintain office equipmentMonitor and maintain business and professional licensesSubmit regional building permitsResponsible for vehicle titling and maintaining vehicle fleet documentationCommunicate with internal and external customers and vendors in a professionalmannerOther office administrative duties as assignedCompetenciesAccounts Payable Knowledge.Communications Proficiency.Problem Solving/Analysis.Collaboration Skills.Organizational Skills.Intermediate Computer Skills.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative ofthose an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of thisjob. Hours are set and generally run between 8:30 am and 5:00 pmoccasional OT may be required.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent and three-plus years of related experienceand/or training. Experience with the mechanical or construction industriesis a plus.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
