Ent Credit Union Automated Clearing House Specialist - ACHSP02560 in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Position Description:This position is responsible for posting Automated Clearing House (ACH)debit and credit exceptions to member accounts, returning any un-posted ACHexceptions, and balancing posted and un-posted exceptions for the day. Otherduties of this position include the timely processing of ACH disputes, stoppayments, and notifications of change (NOCs) as well as processing EFTshare transfers and paper payrolls.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Process ACH debit and credit exceptions by either posting to member accountsor returning items to the ODFIs via FedLine by way of Application SupportProcess member ACH debit entry disputesProvide external and internal member service in regards to all ACH activity onmember accountsBalance the daily ACH return file and notify Application Support that the fileis ready to be transmitted to the Federal Reserve BankSet-up and maintain EFT Share Transfer Requests to include paper payrollsProcess daily NOCs via FedLineProcess ACH ReclamationsOther duties as requiredMinimum Formal Education Required for this Position:High School Graduate or EquivalentEach year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in arelevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement ofKnowledge Consistent with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 2+ years ofaccounting experience could be substituted for a High School Diploma and 6years of relevant accounting work experience or a Masters Degree in Accountingand 0 years of work experienceMinimum work experience:1+ years Financial Institution experience(Preferred) 1+ year exposure / application of ACH concepts, policiesand procedures.Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:Basic understanding of ACH policy and procedures, FedLine, and creditunion policy and procedures.Must be a quick learner, able to develop a thorough understanding the ACHprocesses, including a complete understanding of 3rd Party Vendorprocesses, internal host system processes (currently Symitar), and allpolicies and procedures related to the credit unions ACH activities. The ACHSpecialist must be able to use the host system simultaneously with third-partyGood communication, attention to detail, logic, organization,professionalism, and customer service skills are required.Solid business judgment, accuracy, and exercise of common sense are required.Proven ability to detect and assess unusual and/or suspicious activity.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Certifications required:(Preferred) ACH CertificationEnvironmental, physical and psychological requirements:Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a climatecontrolled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists forrepetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, andoperating a telephone. Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical ofan office environment. Must be able to interact via email, telephone, orin person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members undervarying circumstances.
