Join our team and thrive in a career that matters to the worldand you personally.The Space Operations Directorate provides support to United States SpaceCommand, to include the Headquarters, Joint Task Force Space Defense,and Combined Force Space Component Command in their mission to "conductoperations in, from, and to space to deter conflict, and if necessary,defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint/Combinedforce, and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners.Provide leadership and technical support to the US Space Command Headquartersto ensure prioritized and high-quality technical support and capabilities toaddress and solve the highest priority warfighter issues. The ideal candidatewill support Command and Control and related Space Control developmentprograms necessary to realize the US Space Command initiatives for achieving21st Century space operations and combat power projection. The candidate willlead technical efforts or project teams and organize interfaces between the USSpace Command and related commands and centers, US Space Force, SystemProgram Offices (SPOs), mission partners and Aerospace technical andmanagement staff.Key FunctionsLead team evaluations of next-generation space command and controlrequirementsLead technical analyses utilizing system and architectural modeling tools toevaluate potential new system conceptsSupport strategies aligned to the US Space Command priorities by providingtechnical, operational and risk assessmentsSupport development of operational employment of space capabilities conceptsSupport fires and targeting operations development and analysisWork across program and organizational boundaries to develop creativesolutions for critical unfilled requirements, ensure common programmaticchallenges and risks are identifiedCoordinate the use of ETG resources in support of USSPACECOM projectsCommunicate effectively with senior leadership through timely reporting ofissuesWork closely and effectively with external stakeholders including otherAerospace personnel and government personnelQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline from arecognized institution8 (12) or more years of relevant career experience, to includebackground as a space operator with space operations center or equivalentoperations center experiencePrevious experience working with senior military or government customers fromdiverse US government organizationsExcellent communications skillsPeriodic travel is requiredA current Top-Secret SCI clearancePreferredAdvanced degreein Engineering, Mathematics, or Science from a recognizedinstitutionSpace Force/Air Force/Navy Weapons School graduate or equivalentfunctional area space experience in the US Army, Navy or MarinesJoint Planning experience with a Combatant Command J3/5 or Joint Staff J3/5Wargame and exercise experience with a Combatant Command, Component orService Command or Joint Staff/J7Air Battle Manager (ABM) experience in the Air Force/NavySAP/SAR accessesExperience working with the US Space Command, US Space Force, US SpaceCommand, and NROExhibit high-level of innovation, creativeness, and initiativeAbility to prioritize effort in a...
