Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World CADD Operator-2DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe purpose of this position is to provide Computer Aided Drafting and Design(CADD), Field Surveys and Drawing management support for the USAFA CivilEngineering Squadron program. Work involves, but is not limited to, thefollowiProvide drafting support for Architects and Engineers. Convert engineeringsketches and preliminary design drawings to final project drawings. Ensurefinal drawing sets include details of all sub-components i.e. civil siteplans, building floor plans, structural plans, electrical plans,mechanical plans, plumbing plans, construction details, finishschedules, etc., and are ready for PE review and approval. Correct projectdrawings as required to capture project change orders. Correct installationrecord drawings IAW the finished construction of a facility.Assist with the development of in-house design drawings and conduct pre-designsite visits and field surveys.Evaluate and enforce USAFA and industry A/E/C CADD standards on AandEproject proposals. Ensures As-Built drawings are reviewed and validated priorto incorporating into Master Floorplans.Assist with surveying support, space utilization, cemetery plot layouts,aircraft mishap/accident investigations, natural disaster condition andmanmade disaster condition assessments. Utilize survey and resource gradeGlobal Positioning System (GPS), Range Finders, and Total Stations toperform surveys. Provide support for construction layout, utilitylocation, and disaster response surveys (natural and manmade disasters)and associated data IAW current industrial surveying standards. Documentcoordinates for any utility failures for future trend analysesReview legal descriptions and other Real Property docs for cadastralgeospatial info and provide geo-referenced drawings in AutoCAD format.Reproduction services: production of maps such as snow routes, custodialservices, emergency management, operations, traffic accidents, VIProutes, planning, design, and construction. This also includes drawingsin support of Cadet programs (Global Engagement, FERL, etc.) andevents (CORONA, Graduation, Parents Weekend, etc.).Catalog/maintain facility/infrastructure DWGs and digitized records.Maintain centralized storage of drawings for engineering and in-houseprojects, maps, charts, graphs and other documents and files.Maintain Master Floorplans for existing and new facilities, parking lots,roads, utility modifications, and demolition of facilities.Participate in and fully support any and all service areas during baseexercisesPerform other related duties as assigned.EEO is the Law PosterEEO is the Law Poster SupplementPAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
