Torch Technologies, Inc Distributed Training System DTS Linux Systems Operator in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado

Description:The DTS SimStim Linux Systems Operator will provide adaily training opportunity for Warfighters by operatingthe Distributed Training System Simulation and Stimulation(DTS Sim/Stim) that interfaces with the Command ControlBattle Management Communications system (C2BMC) and theGround Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Systems Trainer(GST).This position must also coordinate a variety of issuesto include starting and stopping training events withWarfighters and coordinating daily activities with DTSteammates to include personnel operating C2BMC, GST, andother internal and external elements as required. Alloperations must be recorded in an events log andconsistent metrics must be maintained. Operator must beable to work well within a small team of two to fourpersonnel.A training program is provided but does not cover everysituation therefore, the operator must be able toovercome obstacles. DTS is expected to operate threeshifts across days, swings, and mids during a Mon Friwork week. Candidate must be willing and able to workoff hour shifts as part of a scheduled crew rotationbetween days and nights. Time may be flexed toaccommodate pay schedules but normally would not exceed40 hours per week. There may be occasions when thenormal scheduled operating times may vary and occasionalweekends may be required based on the needs of theWarfighter and the availability of resources.The individual will work closely with a mission-focusedteam that plans, conducts, and supports missile defensetraining events for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA),the Warfighter, and other missile defense stakeholders.Some events may feature Warfighter Operator-In-The-Loop(OITL) participation, and include developmental missiledefense system elements or simulations.Requirements:The candidate must be able to learn to operate a Linuxbased system. Must be able to adapt to short termdeadlines and work well under pressure. The ability tocommunicate effectively with multiple organizationsusing a broad spectrum of tools and to communicatecomplex concepts, issues, and status to seniorcontractor and government leadership is a must.Ability to support shift work as required.Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience. Experiencemay be substituted in lieu of a degree.Position requires that the candidate possess a final andsecret security clearance in order to access classifiedinformation.
