The Navigators Employment Coordinator in Colorado Springs, Colorado
The Employment Coordinator shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Employment Coordinator will also complete the on-boarding process for all new employees. The Employment Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring we hire the best possible talent for leadership and all departments within The Navigators.
Manage the full cycle hiring process from sourcing to offer acceptance for all positions at U.S. Headquarters, Glen Eyrie, Eagle Lake and International Office.
Effectively work with management to identify anticipated staffing gaps and proactively prepare to fill them.
Build solid relationships with leadership teams and serve as a partner before, during, and after the recruiting process.
Be proactive in networking, cold-calling, and 'deep diving' into passive candidate networks throughout various markets.
Analyze, recommend and implement improvement in The Navigators overall recruitment and hiring strategy and process.
Develop, implement and execute recruiting strategies to fill current openings and help build a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates.
Strategies expected to be in alignment with key Nav ethnic-minority initiative
Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
Communicate regularly with and respond daily to candidates about the status of positions.
Set and meet strong and specific recruitment metrics.
Maintaining Recruiting System Process (35%):
- Maintain and update iCIMS as appropriate.
On-Boarding Process (5%):
Work with Onboarding Advocate in coordinating onboarding for all new hires.
Complete necessary hiring paperwork with supervisor and new hire and upload relevant documents into Workday.
Create welcome article for each new hire for inclusion in NavWeekly.
Additional Recruiting Functions:
Schedule and represent The Navigators at Career/Job Fairs throughout the community.
Network with other Colorado Springs Recruiters regarding community recruiting needs/trends.
Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; discuss recruiting processes with managers; help train managers on recruiting software as needed.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
Minimum Associate Degree preferred or relevant work experience
Five years of experience in full life cycle recruiting required
Experience working with an applicant tracking system (preferably iCIMS Recruiting)
Workday software and web communications experience helpful
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requisitions, hiring managers and candidates
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to build loyalty and relationships with managers
Strong interviewing and negotiation skills
Prior understanding of The Navigator ministry preferred
