Do you want to join a high-impact team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and help the nation achieve one of its most critical missions? The MDA Program Division seeks an exceptional business professional to be our Division Operations Lead. As the N260 MDA Division Operations Lead, you will be a core member of the leadership team, working closely with the Managing Director and Department Managers to manage and shape MITRE’s work program for optimal impact on MDA’s mission and capabilities. You will manage our relationship with our Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and other key sponsor personnel, providing timely, accurate execution reports as well as responses to routine and ad hoc data calls. You will engage with our project leaders to ensure we deliver our work program effectively and efficiently, and to find ways to meet emerging sponsor needs. You will ensure we comply with all sponsor and MITRE requirements, and set the standard for operational excellence within the corporation.
Provide accurate and timely financial and resource reports and documentation for the MDA Program Division to center, sector, and corporate leadership, as well as sponsors
Advise Program Division leadership on execution risks and strategies to mitigate them
Work closely with PLs to ensure clarity staffing plans are maintained properly, that open positions are identified and filled, and that overall delivery is consistent with the funding and STE allocation
Work closely with MITRE Sector Finance, Innovative Contract Solutions, and other internal partners to ensure timely and accurate accounting of all resources
Maintain regular contact and establish trusted relationships with the MDA COR and all Business and Financial Managers (BFMs) who manage MITRE’s support to MDA. Provide all required data and documentation and ensure MITRE’s good standing and reputation with the sponsor.
Maintain and update contracting documents (PWS, DD254, etc.) in order to support changing work program requirements.
Support ad hoc data calls, financial and programmatic analyses, and divisional activities, as required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and 3 years’ experience
Solid understanding of and experience with MITRE’s (or other organizations) financial and business operations tools/processes
Experience working with and supporting leadership and staff at all levels within a large organization
Experience working directly with DoD or IC sponsors
Unsurpassed dependability, can-do attitude, and willingness to take initiative to solve problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple complex activities at one time
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and 6+ years of related experience
Experience working with MDA sponsor
Proven track record of expanding the scope of one’s job and acquiring/applying new skills
