Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a position on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program as a Systems Engineer 5. This position will serve as the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) Lead Systems Integrator (SI) and will support the PARCS Weapon System Manager and PARCS Chief Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

The PARCS Lead SI will be responsible for providing technical oversight of and direction to system/project integration planning for and coordination of sustainment and/or modification efforts applicable to the PARCS weapon system across all SMORS program delivery orders. The PARCS Lead SI will manage, coordinate, and de-conflict engineering activities and key resources to ensure program success required across multiple overlapping delivery orders and activities.

The PARCS Lead SI will be the primary technical liaison to stakeholders for weapons system integration issues or activities. The Lead SI must be able to effectively and proactively identify impacts to development, test, implementation or operations due to competing resources, schedule, engineering activities, etc., lead the effort to mitigate or resolve the conflict, and effectively communicate the mitigation approach to engineering teams and stakeholders.

The PARCS Lead SI will conduct a weekly Integration and Test Working Group (ITWG to coordinate the activities of multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and on-time change delivery across the integration environments at contractor and Government facilities and the weapon system site.

The Lead SI will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the PARCS weapon system life cycle and its associated integration and test environments. The Lead SI must also be able to demonstrate an ability for problem solving and have excellent time-management skills. Experience in an MBSE program is preferred but not mandatory.

Basic Qualification:

  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

  • 14 Years relevant experience with aBachelors in STEM discipline(Science, Technical, Engineering or Math); 12 Years experiencewith Masters; 9 Years experience with PhD

  • Experience in Model Driven Engineering

  • Experience in Requirements Derivation, Traceability, and Management

  • DOORS or Equivalent Tool Experience

  • Experience with technical documentation and analysis

  • Strong proposal estimation, basis of estimate analytics, and technical methodologies and process engineering

Preferred Qualification:

  • Extensive knowledge of the PARCS system

  • Comprehensive systems-level experience in performance analysis, design, simulation, and requirements verification and validation

  • Experience in a MBSE program
