Duties/ResponsibilitiesTeach one or more courses during the day, evening, and/or weekend asneeded. Courses to be offered: AAS 1010 Intro. to Africana Studies, AAS2000, Social Movements and the Black Experience, AAS 2200 Politics andBlack People, AAS 3300 The Black Community, AAS 3920, Hip-Hop Cultureand Rap Music, and AAS 3400, Contemporary Africa.Applicants will be available for consultation with students and expected toparticipate in normal departmental and community activities. Affiliate facultyare part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basisfor specific classes, as needed, usually on a semester by semester basis.Affiliate Faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under theUniversity's benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependenton budget and enrollment.
