Duties/ResponsibilitiesTeach introductory courses in Anthropology as well as other areas needed bythe department and according to applicant's field of study. Morning,afternoon, evening, or online classes may be assigned if available.Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a percredit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, usually on a semesterby semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverageunder the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments aredependent on budget and enrollment. An affiliate faculty member's dutiesinclude: meeting assigned classes or delivering on-line content consistentwith university, college/school, and department policies; providinginstruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learningobjectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, withdepartment course coordination policies; being available, either face toface or electronically, to students in assigned classes to provideadditional academic support as needed and appropriate for the teachingassignment; and complying with university-wide student evaluation ofinstruction policies and peer observation policies.
