The Assistant Director of Corporateand Foundation Relations is responsible for collaborating with faculty,administrators, development colleagues, and sponsored programs to plan andexecute engagement and solicitation strategies. This position will engage ingrantwriting and proposal development, prospecting, pipelinedevelopment, and closing meaningful gifts from corporate and foundationentitieMetropolitan State University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer. Duties/ResponsibilitiesResearch and Administration. (40%)*Work with faculty, staff, and leadership to identify fundable projects.*Research funding opportunities and assess their appropriateness and fit withUniversity priorities.*Develop and maintain a grants opportunity pipeline, including current andfuture funding prospects.*Manage multi-year grants calendars, ensuring the team meets all proposaland reporting deadlines.*Maintain websites for internal and external audiences.*Assess areas of compatibility with funder interests, potential size offunding requests, pertinent deadlines, and planned timeline for submissions.*Prepare agendas and supporting materials for strategic meetings withfoundations and corporations.*Maintain corporate and foundation relations toolkit, which helps staff andfaculty manage proposal development process*Work collaboratively with the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs andthe Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to determinewhich proposals are philanthropic in nature.*Update and maintain donor and prospect information in the Raiser's Edgedatabase system and utilize system to strategically manage a portfolio ofmajor gift prospects.Writing. (40%)*Work collaboratively across academic departments and divisions to assessneeds, develop innovative programmatic approaches, and translate theseinto written proposals of the highest quality for corporate and foundationfunders.*Manage Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) proposals,reports, and fundraising strategy.*Oversee final proposal production and submission.*Achieve agreed upon annual goals for proposals and gift revenue.Relationship Development. (20%)*Build and manage a select portfolio of prospective and ongoing corporationsand foundations, working with University leadership and frontline fundraisercolleagues to determine future fundraising strategies.*Take active steps to develop and maintain positive, long-term relationshipswith corporate and foundation prospects.*In partnership with appropriate campus partners, coordinate and planmulti-faceted, strategic corporate visits to campus.*Support hosting foundation and corporate boards and committees on campus.*Serve as a resource for faculty, administrators and development staff whowish to engage corporat
