Qualifiedapplicants will be placed in the departmental pool and will be considered foraffiliate/part-time departmental needs beginning Fall 2019 and Spring 2022.The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experienceworking with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitmentto improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.Metropolitan State University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer. Duties/ResponsibilitiesTeach one to three classes in communication design, which may include designfundamentals, typography, interactive design and development,branding, narrative and time based media, publication design, designresearch, UI/UX, community based design, portfolio development,professional practices, or internship supervision. The Department offersprograms that examine art and design in relationship to contemporary societywith specific emphasis on emerging and interdisciplinary practices. Designerswho are motivated by a collaborative environment emphasizing community-drivendesign practices are encouraged to apply. The candidate must demonstrate acommitment to teaching design practices that engage with and embrace emergingtAffiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a percredit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, usually on a semesterby semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverageunder the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments aredependent on budget and enrollment.
