Controller Mission & Outcomes: Manages month-end process to include all O2C, P2P, G/L, and R2R responsibilities. Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial reports and allocates team resources appropriately to meet the goals of company and CFO as directed. The Controller will also be responsible for highlighting all accounting related risks/solutions in a timely manner for rapid resolution and continually enhancing controls accordingly.

Great Candidates: Will have 10 years of progressive accounting experience, and 2+ years of experience in a Controller role. Some key requirements: an obsessive-level of detail orientation to tracking and delivering exacting numbers; a comprehensive level of expertise around GAAP lease accounting standards and revenue recognition. Proactive and assertive communication when required to pull or deliver information throughout the organization will be essential to success in this role. Versatility in overseeing all aspects of the financials in our business: creating cash plans, P&L?s, and a balance sheet?while managing payables, receivables, banking relationships, etc.

Responsibilities and Role:

  • Participate in the development of, and supports the company?s strategic plans

  • Monitor the financial performance of the company

  • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer collections, payroll, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc.

  • Lease accounting and revenue recognition

  • Create and manages annual operating budget

  • Responsible for managing accuracy of all financial reporting

  • Develop, compile, and analyze timely monthly and annual financial reporting packages in accordance with GAAP

  • Prepare monthly and annual accounting department budgets

  • Develop, document and manage financial controls and the policies to enforce them

  • Develop metrics, key performance indicators, and analytics against which to measure and improve the performance of company operations and company-managed locations. Report the results of same to senior management

  • Complete other duties as assigned by the CFO and CEO

Candidate Competencies:

  • Bachelor?s Degree (Required)

  • CPA: Preferred

  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years specifically of Controller Experience

  • Lease accounting experience preferred

  • 3+years of experience in relevant or adjacent industry or role is ideal (Food & Beverage or Manufacturing)

  • Proficient in QuickBooks and NetSuite, able to quickly learn and maneuver through various smaller accounting, sales and inventory systems

  • Proven track record of increasing process and system efficiencies

  • Must have a positive and can-do attitude and drive for fast moving work

  • Trustworthiness and dedication to high quality work

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking

  • The ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks at once in fast paced work environment

  • Hold self and team accountable for accuracy of work and deadlines

Compensation: This is a full-time Temp to Hire salaried position. Once hired on permanently, candidate will be eligible for competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, F.S.A, 401k), Stock Options, and Paid Time Off.
