DescriptionRole and responsibilities:Design and documentation of logical and physical operational data models fortransactional databases.Liase with counterparts in enterprise architecture and data analytics teams toensure data governance standards, security controls, and operational processesWorks closely with Data Stewards, Data Governance and developers to createand maintain data dictionary and data lineage. Helps investigate and resolvedata anomalies including data quality issues and ambiguous data definitions.Recommends data integrity checks and controls to ensure data quality.Obtains new data requirements from the business, product management andbusiness analysts; and coordinates efforts with the developers, dba'sand business analysts. Performs as data SME in guiding both business and ITusers of data.Source system analysis, data profiling and creating design documents andSource2Target mappings for the development teams to implement.Assists with large-scale data migrations across the enterprise as well as withoptimization and scalability efforts.Works closely with key data consumers (report analysts, data scientistsetc.) to understand needs and challenges and come up with strategy andsolutionEnsures compliance with Employbridge's policies and procedures, safety,state and federal laws, regulations and standards.The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of re-designing ourcompany's data architecture to support our next generation of products anddata initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, orequivalent experience.Eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience in designing conceptual,logical and physical data models using major enterprise data modeling tools(Embarcadero experience or similar is preferred)Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic data planning, standards andprocedures.Minimum 5 years' experience in data quality engineering, metadataconsolidation and integration, metadata model development and maintenance,repository management, data warehouse design and data mining, and datasecurityMinimum 5 years' experience in leveraging enterpriseoperational/transactional data modeling constructs, methodologies andpractices to ensure flexible, scalable, maintainable, andhigh-performing physical databases.Minimum 5 years' experience in data analysis and forensics.Proficiency in SQLGood knowledge of ETL, ELT and batchExperience with analytics, data visualization tools a plusExperience using the following software/tools/methodologies:AWS CloudPostgresAWS DBaaSBig Data (nice to have)Data Architecture, Data ModellingStaffing industry experience (nice to have)DevOps, Agile practicesFamiliarity with (note this is NOT a development role, thus familiarity only):Serverless Architecture - FaaS, DBaaS.Web Frameworks - SpringBoot and React, Angular, Vue, Flask, Django.Code repository and deployment pipelines - GIT and Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet.AWS-based cloud services: API Gateway, Lambda, Load Balancer,DynamoDB, Glue etc.Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages:Python, Java, Scala, etc.Strong project management and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative
