Brown And Caldwell Design-Build Preconstruction Phase Owner Advisor in Denver, Colorado

DescriptionIn this full-time position you will support and lead design-build OwnerAdvisor assignments to implement collaborative delivery procurementprocesses, with a specific focus on the preconstruction implementation phaseof design-build and construction management at-risk (CMAR) projects. Thisposition will support projects in a wide variety of locations throughout theU.Detailed Description:Provide consultation related to the merits of various project delivery methodsand support design-build procurement best practices as an advisor to ownersPrepare and make presentations to clients related to best practices fordesign-build and CMAR implementationCollaborate and work directly with clients in planning, negotiating andexecuting design-build projects during the preconstruction and constructionphasesSupport owners in the review of various construction plans and approachesduring the design and preconstruction phase of design-build and CMAR projectsSupport owners in the review and validation of design-builder and CMARconstruction estimates and support guaranteed price negotiations on owners'behalfCommunicate effectively and coordinate with multi-discipline project teamscomprised of client staff, technical resources, estimators, and subconsultantsIdentify and assess Owner Advisor opportunities and support businessdevelopment pursuits to win Owner Advisor projectsSupport the development of procurement documents and coordinated associatedtechnical specifications, reports, planning, and construction submittalreviews, calculations, models and other technical deliverables for tosupport the owner's procurement and implementation processSupport development and communication of design-build and CMAR best practicesvia participation in professional organizations and conferences and forinternal marketing and staff developmentPosition will require travel; potentially up to 25% of the time.Desired Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in related fieldMinimum 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility with experiencerelated to design-build and CMAR delivery, including estimating, materialsand equipment procurement, and cost validation responsibilitiesStrong construction-related project management and negotiation skills requiredExperience with design-build and CMAR project delivery methods requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability toconduct effective presentations and written report preparation essentialAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment and the abilityto multi-task essentialExperience using Microsoft Office Suite essentialAbility to travel as neededValid driver's license and good driving recordSalary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is$80,200 - $120,175 annually and may be more or less depending uponskills, experience, education and geographical location.Benefits and Other Compensation: We provide a comprehensive benefitspackage that promotes employee health, performance, and success whichincludes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, lifeinsurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off and parentalleave, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement savings plan with employermatch, performance-based bonus eligibility, employee referral bonuses,tuition reimbursement, pet insurance and long-term care insurance.
