OpTerra Energy Services Development Manager (3498) in Denver, Colorado

ENGIE North America Inc.Join the Grid Scale Renewables team as a Development Manager. Reporting to theVP of Development, you will support a broad range of pre-constructiondevelopment activities on projects within ENGIE's portfolio of utility-scalesolar assets across the United States. You will work on discrete tasks tosupport land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, and otheraspects of solar energy and storage project development to ultimately fulfillthe company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within NorthAmeThis position is open to the Houston, TX, Broomfield, CO, Chicago,IL, and Santa Barbara, CA locations.What you'll do:Support development activities of utility-scale solar energy and storageprojects from feasibility to the start of constructionEngage with staff to advance environmental, permitting, transmissioninterconnection, land acquisition, and design activitiesResearch new industry developments, tax incentives, technologies, etc.Assist in permit application preparation and attend hearings, as neededSubmit project data to various agencies for due diligence reviewDevelop project model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investmentcriteria and off-take Origination effortsEngage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout thedevelopment process, including attending community engagement eventsMaintain database tracking project progressSupport energy offtake, financing, and project MandA discussionsSupport Marketing and Origination in the RFP response process for offtakeagreements, including coordinating internal resources, and pricingPrepare investment presentation materials for ENGIE investment committees asnecessaryReview project pro forma financial models to understand how returns areimpactedRepresent company in industry advocacy groupsRemain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and thenational industry trends impacting the future of renewable developmentopportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customersRepresent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as attendee, speaker,panelist and solar energy leaderQualificationsWhat you bring:Minimum 7 years related experienceMinimum 3 years of project development experience; preferably in renewableenergyBachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administrationor Economics preferredDetail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue required informationSkilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritizecritical path tasksHighly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationshipswith public officials and agenciesAble to utilize GIS and mapping softwareSuperior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attentionto detail with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences,including landowners, potential offtakers, government officials, andcorporate leadersWhy ENGIE?ENGIE North America isn't just participating in the Zero-Carbontransition, we're leading it!
