Essential Functions:Four (4) years of Air Vacuum Excavation (SUE Locating) experience preferred.Ability to research and review utility company records and identify utilitiesfrom field observation.Ability to read and interpret CODOT and municipal plans.Understanding of utility construction methods.Knowledge and experience with utility line locating equipment (SUEDesignating).Capable of making field decisions without direct supervision.Locate underground utilities safely through manual labor nondestructivemethods.Record and document the underground utility field data in accordance with CADstandard formats.Must operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.Training to meet company safety standards.Dig potholes as directed by job plan including windows when crossingutilities.Soil excavation digging with high pressure air/hydro wand and vacuum hosesystems.Carrying, maneuvering, and handling wands and hoses at ground level forexcavated holes that are approximately 20 feet deep below ground surface.Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.Work within a collaborative team environment and perform self QA/QC of work.Adhere to CobbFendley's safety standards to uphold a safe and efficientenvironment.Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.Desire to collaborate with professionals and clients to increase your industryknowledge and grow in your career.Commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards toachieve department and company goals.Interest in developing relationships with clients, partners, and localorganizations to remain a trusted resource in the community. Physical Requirements:Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying).Communication with other employees and clients. Environmental Factors: 80% of work is performed outdoors in the field and 20% performed indoorsin the office/warehouse.Trips to client offices and job sites will be required.Job site observations factors could include: walking and climbing on unevensurfaces, exposure to outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat andfreezing temperatures), noise exposure, driving for extended periods oftime, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar, sumac,poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possiblehand and power tool use, and extended periods of Personal Protective EquipmentExtended use of electronic devices (e.g., computers, printers,copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones).
