Core activities will include ongoing case managementservices for participating families and older adults which includesassessment, identifying and administering appropriate financialinterventions, referrals to community resources (clothing, food andother emergency assistances), and regular family case management meetingsincluding home visits as needed. The Case Manager will liaise with variousfamily shelters, supportive and transitional housing agencies in the DenverMetro community on behalf of participating families. The case manager willalso coordinate and facilitate participant orientation meetings. This positionworks closely with all members of the Housing Now team. This is a regular,full-time, non-exempt position with benefits that pays $22.00 per hour. Requirements Education and Work Experience:* Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), preferred; Bachelor'sdegree in Social Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required* Two years' work experience with homeless populations, preferably withfamilies in crisis* Experience with case management requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:* Strong communication and people skills; able to make public presentations* Demonstrated history of providing professional, effective programming withchildren and families* Ability to complete timely and detailed documentation (includingassessments)* Ability to use professional discretion to determine appropriateinterventions* Desire to serve others by building on their strengths, Strong skills incustomer service* Competent in working independently within clear parameters in a teamenvironment* Bi-lingual (preferred)* Able to successfully pass background check* Minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid Colorado Driver's Licenseand clean driving record, able to use personal car for workAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:* Ability to manage databases, administer complex systems and follow programpolicies* Ability to oversee program budget* HMIS experience preferredSoftware-related skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, and email required.Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use newsoftware programs with basic training.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment withoutregard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genderidentity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not bediscriminated against on the basis of disability.
