The job duties of diagnostic and interventional radiology nurses include: * Your role serves as a patient advocate and provides patient carethrough the development and implementation of ongoing systems and practicesthat promote and maintain quality nursing care for patients undergoingdiagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department. * You will preparing patients for procedures: Includes checking andverifying vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results, and medical history * Your role involves inserting and removing intravenous lines, as wellas administering conscious sedation drugs and other drugs * You will monitoring patient patterns and vital signs during theprocedure * You will oversee the safety and comfort of patients before, during,and after procedures * Your role will provide post-procedure monitoring: Includes observingfor signs and symptoms of complications, such as bleeding from the puncturesite, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs Needed Qualifications: * Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing * Current Colorado Registered Nurse License with current BLS, ACLS,and PALS Certification through the American Heart Association or American RedCross * 2-3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED,PACU, or Radiology) preferred * Must be able to function independently, be multi-task oriented, andshow excellent prioritizing skills PRESBYTERIAN ST.
