Overview of the Role
Investor Services Specialists are customer service individuals who support our investors through processing transaction requests quickly and accurately, assist investors with their accounts online, and help investors make decisions on the best way to accomplish their service goals. We offer an enthusiastic three week training designed to satisfy diverse backgrounds to help you develop a solid foundation of financial knowledge and a world class customer service mindset. You’ll walk out of the training knowing more about our industry than you thought you ever could! You will have resources available to help you receive continuous coaching and assistance with your career trajectory from our Lead representatives. This will help prepare you for investor interactions and your future at Janus Henderson.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide world class service within our call center by applying industry and company knowledge to our investors’ needs.
Answer account questions, process purchase, redemptions, exchanges and other account transactions over the phone.
Help investor’s navigate and trouble shoot online issues utilizing your trained expertise of the Janus Henderson website.
Identify and seek marketing campaign opportunities.
Resolve problems and correct complex errors identified by the investor or representative.
Meet & exceed productivity and quality metrics of call scoring.
Carry out additional duties as assigned

Ability to adapt to investor communication style while servicing our diverse client base.
Strong willingness to learn and ask questions.
Must have a high degree of self-motivation and ability to be self-sufficient in utilizing available resources.
Attention to detail and ability to exercise discretion and judgement in helping investors by applying our processes, policies, and procedures.
Must be proficient in service, retirement, and product related questions within 9 months of hire or contract conversion.
Ability to work 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday 7 am – 4pm with occasional mandatory overtime.
College degree OR equivalent work experience preferred.
NASD SIE, Series 6, and 63 licensed (must be obtained within 6 months of contract conversion or hire)
Working Environment/Physical Activities
Overtime may be required on short notice; may include weekend/evening/holiday hours.
Position requires the ability to work in an environment with a high volume of phone calls, transactions to be processed, tight deadlines, and high accuracy standards.
Typical office environment with PC usage up to 95% of the time.
General office equipment such as fax machine, copier, etc.
Telephone usage up to 95% of the time.
For those in scope of Knowledge & Competence (MiFID II)
Knowledge of financial markets, financial markets function and the impact of economic figures and national/regional/global events on markets
Understanding of issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
Annual Performance Appraisal
Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Annual Attestation (Knowledge and Competence in-scope roles only)
