The TA's that work alongside our facility in the areas of generalchemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and biochemistry. Ateaching assistant can improve their teaching/mentoring skills and learncomplex concepts in their specific subject area. It is a fantastic opportunityto gain real hands-on lab experience such as learning how to runinstrumentation, analyze data and improve wet chemistry techniques. Duties/ResponsibilitiesChemistry and Biochemistry teaching assistants will assist students withexperiment set-up and concepts. The teaching assistants answer questions aboutthe laboratory work and help guide students into understanding how/why theexperiment works. TA's assist in the cleaning of the lab andanalyzing/interpreting data. TA's will also run analysis on studentsamples using various instrumentation such as, but not limited to, NMR,IR, GC, HPLC and AA spectroscopy. Required Qualifications**MUST BE A STUDENT ENROLLED AT AN APPROVED COLORADO HIGHER EDUCATIONINSTITUTION**Students must have completed both semesters of general chemistry and onesemester of organic chemistry or analytical chemistry with a B or higher inall labs. Must have a firm grasp on the concepts learned in lecture and enjoyworking in laboratory setting. The applicant should be interested in ateaching or management career in the sciences and have at least a 3.0 GPA.Please provide Faculty Recommendation Letter as Other Documents.
