The ideal teacher isstate certified in Colorado and is deemed highly-qualified. We work towardsachieving student success in an online environment by using data-drivenstrategies to provide synchronous and asynchronous support which focuses onindividual student needs.Please include copies of the following documents with your application:current resumecurrent teaching certificatecopies of transcriptsAs a contract teacher, you will...Devote weekly hours to live synchronous sessions (hours are determined bystate/client needs)Successfully complete training within two weeks of hiringParticipate in monthly data analysis meetingsProvide students with rich and targeted feedbackAdhere to state specific requirements as specified by managerComplete additional trainings as requiredLearn curriculum of assigned course/sAdhere to state and client specific prescribed policies and procedures usingappropriate asynchronous and synchronous toolsWelcome students to course, communicate requirements, encourageparticipation, maintain synchronous office hours, monitor studentpacing/progress through courseTake ownership for student academic progress and show an active interest instudent achievementAre you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance,manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? Ifselected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher trainingprogram for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity tomeet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for deliveringcurriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learnhow to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system,and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance eachchild's learning.Required Qualifications:Candidates are required to be currently certified to teach in Colorado with aPE/Health endorsement listed on their teaching license.They are alsoexpected to have HQT status in their state and to maintain this certificationfor the duration of their employment. Reciprocity is not accepted.Minimum six (6) months of student teaching experienceProficient in MS Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience in a customer service environmentStrong written/verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with online teaching and supporting adults and children in the useof technologyOne of the following endorsements: ELL, ESL or ESOLThree (3) years of teaching experienceThe above job is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties andstandards of the position.
