Marketing specialists provide redundancy in capabilitiesand capacity of the corporate business development group and support eachother on a day-to-day basis.The primary responsibility of the marketing specialist is to supportclient-specific and market sector teams with developing and implementingstrategies for winning new clients and expanding and enhancing ourrelationships with existing clients. The marketing specialist works with thebusiness development team to promote and coordinate marketing programs as wellas corporate business development's events team to support conferences,trade shows, and client events. Responsibilities and Typical Activities:Provide market strategy support for business unit teams seeking assistance inclient development strategy.Maintain an understanding of key market segments to identify growthopportunities with existing clients and supporting marketing and businessdevelopment efforts for key clients.Maintain an understanding of the consulting market to help differentiate fromcompetitors.Support market sector assessments, including conducting market research andbusiness analysis to identify opportunities that may fit Barr's businessmodel and services.Support and facilitate strategic pursuit efforts to help consultant teamsidentify opportunities, strategically position for these opportunities,and track execution of these strategies.Lead or participate in strategic planning for client development and trackprogress toward goals, including client contacts, revenue,profitability, and effectiveness.Serve as a marketing and business development specialty resource for clientspecific and market sector teams for development and implementation ofmarketing and client relationship strategy.Assess marketing and client relationship needs, provide recommendations,and support implementation to meet these needs.Provide support for establishing and managing corporate business developmentprogram budgets.Provide leadership in development of standards, guidelines, templates,systems, and resources for executing and tracking marketing strategies andactivities.Develop, implement, and train others in best practices for marketing andclient development.Assist with goal setting, execution, and progress tracking for corporatebusiness development plans, programs, and initiatives. Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related fields5+ years of experience in a direct marketing position, preferably with aconsulting or professional services firmExperience in leading cross-functional teams and coordinating promotionaleffortsExperience and proven capabilities influencing without authority and sellingideas to various prof
