Duties/ResponsibilitiesAffiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a percredit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, usually on a semesterby semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverageunder the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments aredependent on budget and enrollment. An affiliate faculty member's dutiesinclude: meeting assigned classes or delivering on-line content consistentwith university, college/school, and department policies; providinginstruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learningobjectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, withdepartment course coordination policies; being available, either face toface or electronically, to students in assigned classes to provideadditional academic support as needed and appropriate for the teachingassignment; and complying with university-wide student evaluation ofinstruction policies and peer observation policies.Occasional meetings with faculty teaching in the same content area may berequired before, during, and after semesters. The instructor is requiredto provide feedback on student's writing and critical thinking abilities ona timely basis.Required Qualifications1. Terminal Degree in health care management or a field related to thespecific course(s) taught (e.g. public health or law)2. Two years of relevant health administration management experience. Preferred Qualifications1. Five years of relevant post health administration experience, preferablyin a senior management position in a health care organization.2.
