As a technologist, you are asked to operate MRI scanners and to ensurethat the procedure produces quality images and information for the health careprofessional to make an accurate diagnosis. Utilize your medical knowledge byinterviewing patients, explaining the procedure and placing the patient inthe appropriate spot on the table. Technologists are also organized,detail-oriented people who are familiar with the anatomical area that is beingscanned and the patient's history. A few responsibilities of our MRITechnologist include: * You will position and prepare patients for exams according to the typeof procedure to be performed * You will be performing procedures and assessing patients throughout andresponding to the patient's needs as appropriate * You will complete appropriate documentation for each study performed * You will use professional discernment and critical thinking whenperforming procedures * You will participate in orientation and training of new staff membersand teach students during their clinical rotations * You will maintain thorough knowledge of scanners and exam protocols inorder to ensure the highest quality procedures The required job qualifications include: * Currently registered as an MRI Technologist, or will obtain MRIregistry within six months of hire date * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, asspecified in policy * Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists * Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology * One year of experience in an MRI Imaging Department preferred ROSE MEDICAL CENTER, a well-known as a Denver institution and a 9thAvenue landmark for 60 years, Rose Medical Center has earned a reputation asDenver's \\"Baby Hospital\\" while becoming a leader incomprehensive women's services, internal medicine, endoscopy, heartand vascular care, orthopedics and total joint replacement, bariatricsurgery, sports medicine and aesthetic surgery.
