Description
On-Call Program Assistant
Lambuth Family Center – Denver, Colorado
Scope of Position: The part time, non-exempt, On-call Program Assistant ensures the safety and wellbeing of guests at the Lambuth Family Resource Center, a 24/7 shelter serving families experiencing homelessness. The program seeks a candidate who is flexible
and available to work awake overnight shifts as well as day shifts on weekends when needed. The assistant works with guests to ensure that all are being safe, responsible and respectful while at the facility. We are seeking a candidate who can work independently
with limited supervision. This position requires the ability to use discretion when addressing or resolving resident matters while providing a positive customer experience for program guests. The assistant requires basic knowledge of record keeping practices
and procedures. This position also has some cleaning responsibilities in addition to light food preparation/serving.
Requirements
Position Qualifications:
Preferred bachelor’s degree or work experience in lieu of a degree, plus high school diploma or GED.
Valid Colorado Driver’s License or valid Identification Card
Customer service experience; effective communication and people skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desire to serve others who are overcoming hardships
Experience using trauma informed care and crisis management techniques, preferred
Successfully pass background check
Complete internal Protecting The Mission training for working with minors within 3 months of employment
Proficient in speaking and writing the English language
