Job Description:This position can be based out of any of our US offices.The Proposal Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing thedevelopment of proposals and other marketing and business developmentmaterials. This hands-on position will play a key role in proposal developmentactivities, fully supporting the Marketing team and leading the team througha winning proposal.Lead most proposals and requests for responses for designated practice areas.Lead strategic and high-profile proposals firm-wide as assigned.Lead or serve as secondary proposal manager on high-profile and preferredprovider requests for responses as assigned.Ensure all data gathering and processing for the firm's proposals andpitches are accurate, consistent and submitted timely.Actively collaborate with partners, marketing managers, and other keystakeholders to develop clear, compelling, winning proposals.Follow the firm's proposal processes and work to refine and improve,developing a competitive strategy, preparing the interview team, anddebriefing the firm's team.Assist in drafting and editing proposal templates, as well as maintain thetemplates and disclosure requirements on firm wide and regional pitch bookelements such as client names, profiles, experience lists, attorneybiographiesGeneral oversight for a centralized proposal management database system andsupport compilation, analysis, and reporting of various metrics.Develop, organize, and manage content for proposal documents within thefirm's proposal generator tool.Work with design to develop creative and information graphics.Participate in regular meetings. Develop and present activity reports thatsummarize activity, success rate, and progress on initiatives.Lead or assist with special projects as assigned.Skills:The ideal candidate must place a high value on client service and operationalexcellence, possess excellent communication skills (oral and written),and be a successful team player. Strong abilities in Microsoft Officeapplications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel are required.Experience working with proposal generating software a plus. The candidatemust be detail-oriented with excellent project management skills and be ableto prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, anddeadline-driven environment. They must have the ability to quickly graspspecialist knowledge and anticipate potential issues and devise contingencyplans. The candidate must have a proven ability to effectively work with alllevels of personnel. General understanding of the business of law ispreferred.Experience and Education:This position requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years ofmarketing in professional services. Law firm experience beneficial. MBA or JDa plus, but not required.
