Manhattan Strategy Group Region VIII Head Start Family Engagement Specialist in Denver, Colorado

DescriptionPosition Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise, strategies, and resources to RegionalOffice and TTA staff on comprehensive parent, family, and communityengagement, with an emphasis on strategies for engaging families throughoutthe Develop and deliver presentations and training on family engagement topicsthroughout the RegionDevelop and implement strategies for collaborating with grantee PFCE managersand/or coordinators throughout the Region Support the aggregation, analysis, and dissemination of regional andgrantee data from existing government systems to identify emerging trendsimpacting Head Start /Early Head Start grantees (HS/EHS) Provide training to groups of grantees at regional and state events, asdirected by the Regional Office Provide direct TA services to individual grantees, at the direction of theRegional OfficeActively serve as a member of a national peer group of Family EngagementSpecialists from each HS Region Support emerging OHS initiatives and prioritiesBasic Qualifications:A minimum of a BA or BS from an accredited university or college in socialwork, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.A minimum of 3 years' experience providing:TTA to HS/EHS management teams and program staff related to parent, familyand community engagement.Programs services for families with children birth to five.The facilitation of group discussions and presenting to range of audiencesincluding working with diverse children, families, staff and communitiesand training and facilitating groups of learners.Analyzing data and helping programs make data driven decisions related toproviding services to families with young children.Communicating, both orally and in writing, to various HS/EHS audiences.Preferred Qualifications:A graduate degree from an accredited university or college in social work,human services, family services, counseling or a related field.3+ years experience providing:TTA to HS/EHS management teams and program staff related to parent, familyand community engagement.Programs services for families with children birth to five.The facilitation of group discussions and presenting to range of audiencesincluding working with diverse children, families, staff and communitiesand training and facilitating groups of learners.Analyzing data and helping programs make data driven decisions related toproviding services to families with young children.Communicating, both orally and in writing, to various HS/EHS audiences.If the highest degree was awarded more than ten years ago, the resume shouldbe specific regarding such events as courses, conferences, seminarsattended or relevant work experience.We are committed to creating a diverse environment and proud to be an equalopportunity/affirmative action employer.
