Job DescriptionPartner and consult with advisors to guide the implementation of ColumbiaThreadneedle Investments' mutual funds and/or separate accounts sales inthe independent channel in the CO, MT, and WY territory. Deliver productknowledge and usable sales approaches. Create brand recognition and demand.Responsibilities* Representation of all products distributed and marketed by ColumbiaThreadneedle Investments. Drive sales by developing, maintaining, anddeepening relationships with new and existing advisors; influences advisorchoices using a consultative sales process and other performance improvementsystems. Partner with internal wholesaler to develop a business plan, managethe territory, and drive regional sales goals and objectives.* Identifies client needs and provides investment and business solutions tothe financial advisor. Build and maintain relationships with internal andexternal business partners (marketing, senior leaders, field leaders).* Conducts sales or product training meetings and public seminars forfinancial advisors. Make joint sales presentations to existing and prospectiveclients.* Consult in the areas of portfolio building and practice management.* Keeps abreast of industry/market trends and developments and maintainssound working knowledge of products and services. Research and communicateindustry changes and trends that may impact company or product positioning,both with internal and external customers.* Report sales and activities to management on a weekly basis.Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree.* Series 7 and Series 63/66.* Minimum of 3-5 years in mutual fund/separate account wholesaling orsupporting a mutual fund/separate account wholesaler.* In depth working knowledge and experience with mutual funds and separateaccounts.* Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations.* Self-driven - able to manage territory budget and to operate autonomously.* Separate managed accounts experience.* Established relationships in the channel.Preferred Qualifications* Advanced degree (MBA) and/or CIMA or CFP designation.About AmeripriseFocused on people, not just our bottom line.Here, you'll be part of an inclusive, collaborative culture that rewardsyou for your contributions.
