Facebook Research Intern, Computational Imaging Algorithm (PhD) in Denver, Colorado

Facebook Reality Labs is currently seeking upcoming scientists and researchers with an interest in computational imaging and/or camera image processing pipeline, to improve imaging experiences for AR/VR products.
Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Research, develop and prototype advanced technologies in the domain of computer vision and machine learning
Publish research results that are both publishable and have direct impact on Facebook products
Currently has or in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields
1+ years of experiences in one or more areas of computer science, such as computational imaging, Image processing, computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning
Fluency in one of programming languages such as Python and/or C/C++
1+ years of experience with deep learning platforms such as Pytorch or Tensorflow
Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated by co-authored publications at conferences such as CVPR/ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH(Asia), NeurIPS/ ICLR/ICML, etc.
Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
A strong interest in theoretical and empirical research and for answering hard questions in research
Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner
Prior research experiences in one or more topics related with machine learning based image restoration/enhancement(such as denosing, high dynamic imaging, super resolution, deblurring, demosaicing, portrait, relighting, auto-exposure, auto-focus, auto-white balancing, etc)
Experience with camera image ISP and architecture
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by first authored publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR/ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH(Asia), NeurIPS/ ICLR/ICML, etc.
Intent to return to degree-program after completion of the internship/co-op
