We have an EXCITING opportunity for a skilled Millwright who enjoys working independently from home. Join a growing package handling conveyor belt company which is at the forefront of this technology. Our Client offers its customers a complete package from custom engineering and fabrication to installation, maintenance and 24/7 breakdown support. Our serviced customers include but are not limited to UPS, FedEx, Amazon and Kinder Morgan. You will have the opportunity to develop a career in this rapidly expanding field. After an initial training period, you can work from your home base and will be expected to service companies within your surrounding areas. You will be provided with a service truck and specialty tools such as a welder and torch, personal tools will be required. JOB SUMMARY

To use the tools and skills of a Millwright at various customers sites, keeping their conveyor belt equipment operational and functional.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • An ability to track a conveyor belt in a short period of time.

  • Diagnose and correct/repair any conveyor problem as needed.

  • Carry out overall conveyor maintenance on schedule and as required.

  • Be able to respond to a break down at any hour, day or night.

  • Be able to work 40-60 hours per week or more if needed.

  • Willing to travel out of town, up to one week out of every month if necessary.

  • Act professionally with dignity and respect.

  • Communicate clearly and precisely with Customers and any other personnel.

  • Attendance and punctuality on site are an essential job function.

  • Can work independently and conscientiously to complete a job

  • Work within the safety guidelines of Adaptec Solutions and any of their Customers.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Most importantly good mechanical aptitude along with welding and fabrication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to conveyor equipment and related machinery.

  • Basic electrical knowledge.

  • Clean and clear driving record with a valid and current drivers’ license. All personnel will be governed by DOT rules when operating our vehicles.

Experience with package handling belt conveyors and/or more electrical experience will be considered a plus.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

GED or equivalent

5+ years Millwright experience

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift 50lbs at times.

  • Ability to crawl under equipment and fit through a hole 3 feet wide.

  • Ability to operate a service truck at night.

  • Ability to work 10 or more hours straight if needed.

  • Ability to pass a drug test. (Substance abuse of any kind is not acceptable and will result in immediate termination)

COMPENSATION

$20-25 an hour depending on experience.

Overtime will be paid after 8 hours straight. The next 2 hours at time and a half. Any hours over 10 straight hours will be paid at double time.

Potential yearly compensation with overtime can reach $70-$100K.

Any work-related travel expenses will be covered.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
