Posting Details Posting Number S00023 Position Title Social Media Assistant Position Number Student Work-Study Hourly Wage14.00 EmployeeCategory Student Department Art Location College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Position SummaryThe Social Media Assistant will support staff and faculty members in theimplementation of the Art Department social media strategy by creatingdynamic, relevant, and engaging social media posts, across a variety ofplatforms utilizing both still and video media developed using adobePhotoshop, Illustrator and/or other online image and video editingsoftware. The Social Media Assistant will partner with staff and faculty toestablish and implement an art department specific brand identity. Studentwill be required to submit to their supervisor a detailed log of assignmentsaccomplished and in-progress on a biweekly basis.Because the Department of Art represents and works with a diverse community ofindividuals, all student employees are expected to assist the department increating a receptive, positive, inclusive, and equitable space forfaculty, students, and staff to conduct business, be productive andcollaborative, and make genuine human connections. Duties/ResponsibilitiesCreating dynamic, relevant, and engaging social media posts. (50%)*Utilizing a variety of still and video media editing software.*Managing multiple posts at a time across several social media platformsincluding Instagram and Facebook.*Identifying and creating appropriate posts that appeal to the differingstrengths of the social media platforms.Analyzing data metrics (25%)*Utilizing built-in data analyzing services to evaluate the efficacy,engagement, and reach of posted content.*Growing the number of followers, and post engagement.Communicating and strategizing with supervisor (25%)*Develop and articulate an achievable social media strategy that aims toengage and grow our digital community.*Respond to faculty and staff requests for featured content. Required Qualifications**MUST BE A STUDENT ENROLLED AT AN APPROVED COLORADO HIGHER EDUCATIONINSTITUTION***Candidate must be eligible for Federal, Colorado, or No-need work/studyfunding.*Candidate must be an Art Department major or minor.*Candidate must be registered for at least 6 credits*Candidate must have at least 1 year of related experience managing brandingand/or organizational social media accounts (related University courseworkmay be substituted for 6 months of experience).*Candidate must be prepared to work with limited supervision, beself-motivated, organized, prepared to handle non-routine circumstancesand make sound decisions.*Position will require approximately 10-15 hours per week.
